Lilit’s designs are inspired by art, architecture, and textile itself. Her designs are focused on defining the character and individuality of the wearer that result in meticulously constructed one-of- a-kind custom made pieces.

Lilit’s motto is to translate her customers’ dreams into reality. Lilit’s designs consist of classic elements with added edginess. She favors unusual textile combinations, and unconventional usage of fabrics. Lilit’s philosophy is to find an ideal balance between her customer ideas and her own vision and style.

Lilit has been surrounded by art from early age, as her father is an honorary artist and mother used to be a stage director of the repertoire theater in Yerevan, Armenia. She created her first wearable garment at the age of 11 with much help of her grandmother.

In 1992 Lilit moved to Bulgaria with her family, where she lived and worked through 2006. There she draw her inspiration in rich and versatile culture of Balkans in general, and Bulgarian culture in particular. The many facets of this cultural influence have been reflected in her designs.

In 2006 Lilit moved to USA. She graduated from El Centro Community College in Dallas, Texas in 2011, and continued her studies at the University of North Texas in Fashion Design program, graduating in 2014 with Bachelors degree in Fine Arts. Lilit has established the company under her given name, based in Dallas, Texas..

Among numerous awards stands out the most presigious first place for the Little Red Dress (Fashion Group International 2013, Dallas).

Lilit is an active member of a Fashion Group International (FGI), a global, non-profit, professional organization to benefit the fashion industry.

At the end of 2016 Lilit Matevosyan and her husband desided to relocate to Sofia, Bulgaria for permanent residency. In 2017 she established Modno Atelie Lilit Ltd. (Модно Ателие Лилит ЕООД) that is located at the Vrabcha street in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Fashion Group International, Dallas Career Day 2013

Lilit participated in Dallas Career Day competition since 2010 as an El Centro fashion design program student, and later as a University of North Texas fashion design program student. In 2013 she designed a red vinyl dress inspired by Russian constructivist artist of 20s Vladimir Tatlin's famous work Tatlin's Tower.
